Important Information

Please read carefully the following important terms of this Agreement.
The restrictions and information set out form part of the Agreement between you and Sky.

1. Is this the right Agreement for you?
This Agreement applies only to oil rigs, stabilised accommodation units (“Floatels”), other offshore installations, HMS ships, MOD vessels, fishing boats, supply boats, yachts and RFA vessels (together “Offshore Installations”) within the Territory. It does not apply to ferries or cruise liners or any other type of premises. Sky will have sole discretion as to whether particular premises fall within the definition of “Offshore Installations”.
If your Premises is an Offshore Installation in the Territory and you wish to exhibit Sky in your Cabins and/or Communal Areas (as such terms are defined in Condition 2 of the Standard Terms and Conditions) then this is the right Agreement for you. The Viewing Cards which you will be sent are authorised for use only within the Territory. Use of the Viewing Cards outside of the Territory is strictly prohibited (with the exception for the purposes of viewing Sky News International only). The Territory is defined as the United Kingdom of Great Britain including Northern Ireland, Channel Islands, Isle of Man or, where applicable, Republic of Ireland (including the surrounding territorial waters and licensed oil rigs in each case). Other agreements apply to other premises. If you need information on the right agreements which would enable you to show Sky in other types of premises, please call +44 (0)8448 244 244 and we will be happy to help.

2. What is this Subscription Agreement about?
This Agreement enables you to receive certain Sky Services at the Offshore Installations Premises identified on your Contracts Form for exhibition of those Services via a SMATV System or Sky In Room Service in your Cabins and Communal Areas (if applicable).

3. How long does this Subscription Agreement last?
This Agreement lasts for at least 12 months (the Minimum Term) unless the term is increased by an offer term or if we end it earlier for one of the reasons given in Condition 17 of the Standard Terms and Conditions.

4. Will prices rise during the Minimum Term?
We are allowed to increase your charges or change the pricing structure at any time on giving you at least 30 days notice.

5. Will the Service change during this Agreement?
The Services, including the channels in the Channel Schedule, the Sky HD Channels, the Sky 3D Service and the channels for which you can use the Personal Video Recorder (PVR) functionality of the Sky+ Service and/or Sky+ HD Service, may be varied from time to time during the term of the Agreements. Some channels may be removed or replaced by others. When new channels are offered to you and/or added to the Service you receive, these shall be provided for viewing (which includes viewing of programming recorded using the PVR functionality) in the Cabins of your Premises only unless we notify you otherwise in writing.

6. Where can I show the Services?
You must observe all restrictions on exhibition of the Services (and new or amended restrictions on the use of the PVR functionality of the Sky+ Service) set out in this Agreement or that are otherwise notified to you by Sky. This includes new or amended restrictions on the viewing of channels or particular programmes in any areas of the Premises. Certain channels are only provided to you for viewing in non-communal areas at the Premises i.e. Cabins. As at the date of print, the channels restricted to non-communal areas include: Star News, Star Plus, Sky Travel, Sky Arts, TV5, Boomerang, Cartoon Network, Cartoonito and Disney XD. You must not show any of those channels which are subject to restrictions other than as is expressly permitted.
PVR functionally may be used across all channels in Cabins but may only be used in Communal Areas in respect of Sky Sports 1, 2, 3, and
4 (or their HD variants). The use of PVR functionality across any other channels in Communal Areas is prohibited. If you have any questions as to whether you can show any channels at all or in any particular areas of your Premises, please ask us by calling +44 (0)8442 411 645.

7. How should I get the equipment and arrange installation?
To receive Sky digital you will need the appropriate digital satellite reception equipment. You are responsible for obtaining the digital satellite equipment needed. For a SMATV System this will normally include one Sky box for each channel you wish to distribute in your Premises plus the equipment needed to distribute the channels you select to the various Offshore Points within your Premises. For the Sky In Room Service this will normally include a standard Sky Box or Sky+ HD box in every Cabin plus the equipment needed to connect the boxes to the satellite dish and to the Offshore Points within your Premises. If you would like some advice on installation or the contact details of Authorised Sky Agents who deal with the installation of SMATV Systems and Sky In Room Service, please call +44 (0)8442 411 645.

8. Is there a Minimum Charge?
There is a minimum charge of £310 ex VAT per month. See Condition 7.16 of the Standard Terms and Conditions for more details of this charge. Oil rigs must have the Service in 100% of all Cabins regardless of occupation.

9. What are my responsibilities in respect of movie Channels?
Certain movie Channels may show 12A and 15 rated content prior to the relevant watershed times. Normally this would be pin protected, however due to technical and logistical constraints subscribers to the Offshore Installation and Ships Agreement shall have the pin functionality on the Box disabled. You hereby undertake full responsibility to advise your staff that the movie Channels are not pin protected and that it's their responsibility to ensure that minors do not watch inappropriate content.
