Satellite Footprint
SKY is not a single satellite but 4 satellites at different heights but in the same position, just like a stack.
This first image shows the "FOOTPRINT" from the Astra 2D satellite array. The "D" satellite is responsible for BBC - ITV and all the English Sky content.
The different colours show the size of the dish you will require to receive the signal in the different locations.
This second shows the "FOOTPRINT" for the Southern Beam of the Astra 2A and 2B satellites. The satellite provides stations such as Sky Family package and Sky Sports 1,2 and 3.
This shows the Northern beam from the Sky satellite array.

- Do you charge for Sky TV cards?
No. Other companies do – please be aware that Sky cards are free. NDB do not believe it is ethical to charge for Sky TV cards. - Is there a minimum charge?
Yes. NDB do to set the minimum charge – the charge is directly affiliated with Sky TV. The minimum charge as of 01/08/11 is £372.00 including VAT. - Is there a minimum contract term?
Yes, 6 months. If you opt for a 12 month contract, you have the option to either receive a discount or receive a free iPad. Minimum contract terms are set by Sky TV directly. - What discount do I get for signing up to a 12 month contract?
As of 01/08/11 you will save £5 per card, per month over the current NDB subscription cost. For example, if you have 10 Sky TV cards over a 12 month contract, you will save £600 per year. - How can I pay?
We accept payments via bank transfer or credit cards (via PayPal). To pay by PayPal, your PayPal email address must be registered with the same company details NDB Europe are invoicing to. - Who do I pay?
NDB Europe Limited. Unlike other companies, we handle the paperwork on your behalf. - How much do I pay?
Depending on the term of your contract, you will pay 6 or 12 months in advance (the total required for the subscription term). - Will you charge me VAT/TVA?
It depends on the location of your registered company or yacht. If you have a registered business in the UK with a UK VAT number for example, we will charge you VAT. If you have a registered business in France or Monaco and have a valid TVA number, we can exclude VAT (zero percent EC VAT).

- Why is there such a difference in cost between other companies Sky TV packages?
Sky offshore subscriptions cost more money because the packages are backed by a specialised administration and support team. You are also paying to utilise the different satellites that Sky TV provide. - Can I use the residential Sky service on my yacht?
No. During our time in the Sky TV market, we have come across several companies retailing illegal subscription packages for yachts. If you require Sky TV for your yacht, you must ensure you are purchasing a "Sky offshore" package, rather than using a regular residential Sky TV subscription (this is what NDB Europe provides). Using a residential TV subscription aboard a yacht is illegal and can mean that you are unable to receive the legal offshore package in the future. - What is the most popular package?
Package 6. This package has all possible channels and is our most popular subscription.

- How soon will I get my Sky cards?
Sky cards usually arrive within 2-3 business days.

- Does it matter what box I put the Sky cards in?
No. As long as you complete the serial number spreadsheet we send you, this does not make a difference. - How long does it take for the cards to activate?
A few hours. After you have inserted the cards (and we have the serial number details), Sky will send an activation signal. Channels generally take a few hours to populate. - What happens if some of the channels are missing?
Email or call us with the box and card serial number. Please use our support address initially to log calls – This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. We will troubleshoot the box for you and provide technical assistance. - Can I upgrade or downgrade?
Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade to a different package with 1 months’ notice. Additional fees for upgrades will be charged prior to the upgrade activation. Downgrade refunds will be sent after the activation.

Once we have received the payment for your 12 month subscription, you should receive your iPad 2 within 14 days by recorded delivery. You do not have to pay any additional charges for postage and packaging.
